Saint Anselm College is committed to providing a comprehensive benefit program as an integral part of each full-time employee's total compensation. The following summary highlights benefits available to you through your employment at the college.

New employees attend an orientation program during which employee benefit programs are explained in detail. The summaries furnished here are governed by the provisions of the applicable documents pertaining to various benefit offerings and may change at any time without notice.

Health Insurance

  • HMO - Harvard Pilgrim Health Care
  • College/employee co-pay for premiums (74%/26% respectively)
  • Eligibility on the first of the month following 14 days of full-time employment

Dental Insurance

  • Northeast Delta Dental Insurance
  • Eligibility: first of the month following  30 days of full time employment
  • College/employee co-pay for premiums (74%/26% respectively)

Life Insurance

  • Basic Term Life and AD&D funded by the college, equal to one-and-one-half times annual base salary to a maximum benefit of $200,000
  • Supplemental life insurance program available
  • Eligibility on the first day of the month following thirty days of full time employment

Disability Income

  • Short term benefits available equal to 60% of base salary up to $7,000/month for first six months of disability, eligible following one year of full time service
  • Long term benefits available equal to 60% of base salary up to $7,000/month after six months of disability, eligible following one year of full time service


The College offers a 403b retirement program for all employees regularly scheduled to work 1000 or more hours per year.

  • Tax deferred retirement annuity programs through TIAA
  • Optional supplemental retirement annuity program, with immediate plan participation available for personal contribution
  • The College contributes 7% of base salary, following two years of eligible service
  • A time of service waiver is available for employees who have accumulated two years of eligible service at an institution of higher education within the previous five years.
  • Once an employee is eligible for College contribution, we will match 50% of up to 3% of your pre-tax contribution
