Recently, our students have reinvigorated the Saint Anselm College Chemistry Club, which also has been recognized by the American Chemical Society. On Mole Day 2010, the students held a fundraiser with a Periodic Table of Cupcakes. Chemistry Club Members have participated in Halloween events and have performed chemistry demonstrations in high school science classes. Some students run help sessions before exams in the General Chemistry course. There is also office space for our students to use, complete with a refrigerator and microwave, and of course a periodic table!
Our students attended the 244th American Chemical Society National Meeting in Philadelphia in August 2012 to tell everyone about their research and their involvement in the Saint Anselm Chemistry Club.
To learn more about the club and their involvement, check out the poster they presented at the conference!
