Teaching
I am a firm believer that the application of theoretical concepts to real world situations helps students internalize course material. I also encourage student critical thinking and provide opportunities via class discussions to hone analytical skills.
I teach several courses in the marketing area including the Principles of Marketing, Consumer Behavior, and Integrated Marketing Communications. I have also taught Marketing Research and Business-to-Business Marketing.
Research
My primary area of research is in marketing research. My research projects investigate various ways firms can improve how they conduct market research studies. In a recent project, I examine how firms should compensate consumers in a research study to encourage them to provide accurate answers to survey questions. I also like to examine the effectiveness of different pedagogy approaches in obtaining desired learning outcomes.
