Cynthia Lucero joined the education department in 2007. She teaches Introduction to Special Education and Introduction to American Education. She also coordinates field placements for education courses, sophmore early field experience, and supervised student teaching. She supervises student teachers and students during their sophmore early field experience.

Areas of professional interest included mentoring new teachers, supporting students with disabilities, student assessment, and special education.
