Brother Andrew teaches elementary, intermediate, and advanced German courses as well as "Tales of the Brothers Grimm" and "Translating German Prose." He holds a doctorate degree from Stanford University in German Studies and Humanities. Brother Andrew's areas of specialization include Germanic linguistics, medieval theology and literature, translation, as well as ancient Chinese thinkers. He is a monk of Saint Anselm Abbey and is organist for the college and accompanist for the College Choir.
