I see the classroom as a place where students prepare to be global citizens, as well as future political researchers and practitioners. My courses range from introductory requirements in comparative politics and international relations, to more advanced courses in Latin American politics, Sub-Saharan African politics, comparative democracy, and north-south relations.

I serve as the second Richard L. Bready Chair of Ethics, Economics, and the Common Good. My current research focuses on the relationship between Christianity, Politics and Human Sexuality.

Jennifer Lucas, Ph.D.

I teach courses including American government, women and politics, congressional politics, social justice, and campaigns and elections. I serve as the politics department internship coordinator, and the director for the minors in public policy and campaign management.
