Saint Anselm students are guaranteed housing for all four years of study and befitting our tight-knit community, nearly 90 percent of all students choose to live on campus at Saint Anselm.
Housing options range from traditional residence halls to suites, townhouses, and full apartments. Most first-year students will dwell in a residence hall staffed by a student Resident Assistant (RA) and Resident Director (RD) who are tasked with assisting all residents and ensuring regulations are adhered to.
First year males reside mostly in Dominic Hall and first year females reside in either Joan of Arc Hall or Baroody Hall. A standard room in a first year residence hall will be 11' x 14' in size, furnished with a twin-sized bed for each resident, built-in storage closets, a desk and chair for each resident, and a shared dresser.
First year students are strongly encouraged to consult our helpful list of what items to bring to college and what items to leave behind prior to arriving at school.
Dining
All students living on campus must enroll in the Resident Meal Plan. At the beginning of each semester, a student starts off with an opening balance, a portion of which must be used in the main dining hall while the remainder can be used at any on campus eatery. Learn more about dining services.
On campus dining options include:
- Davison Hall, our main dining facility, serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner seven days a week.
- Coffee Shop & Pub provides a refreshing venue for lunch, a special place to take in an atmospheric dinner, and a venue for music and socializing in the evenings.
- Common Ground Cafe offers a full service coffee and espresso bar, light refreshments, and a nonpartisan space for thoughtful discussions!
Residential First Year Experience
First year students also benefit from the Residential First Year Experience (RFYE) program that provides programmatic support to assist students as they make the transition to college life. A collaborative effort of several campus offices including Health Services, Campus Ministry, Student Activities, Academic Resource Center, and the Office of Residential Life and Education, RFYE is prepared to help students meet the challenges of their first year at college.
