Following is a general list of available student positions for the 2013/14 academic year. Applicants for student employment may contact the person listed for each position, or apply in person at the hiring department. Please bring a completed student employment job application to the hiring department and a copy of your Federal Work Study award letter if you have FWS.

Physical Plant/Grounds Crew Snow Removal

Duties: Work as needed to clear campus of snow. Must be available during 2013/14 snow season and must be physically able to work outside clearing steps, landings, paths, etc.

Admission


Student Ambassador/Admission Assistant

Duties: Greeting, welcoming and talking with prospective students and their families; participating in Admission information sessions, and, conducting tours. Having a working knowledge of the programs and services of Saint Anselm College. Participating in various events and programs sponsored by the Office of Admission. Being aware of the history and culture of Saint Anselm College. Serving as a liaison between the Admission Staff and our guests. Completing "post-cards" as a form of follow-up correspondence. In addition to Ambassador duties, students may, at times, work on various office projects as assigned such as filing and processing mail. Assisting Admission staff with special projects. Completing other duties as assigned.

College Communications and Marketing


Student Reporter

Duties: Write stories for the Saint Anselm Web site, blog, and press releases. Investigate story leads across campus. May edit, or assist in editing stories for electronic or print media. Verify factual information for staff stories and perform additional job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Creative writing skills, organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines, computer proficiency, and good communication skills. Students considered for this position will be asked to fill out an application and provide 2-3 writing samples

Student Photographer
Duties: The student will work with the director of creative services and editor of the college magazine to capture photographs required for print and web publications.

Qualifications: Strong photographic skills, organizational skills, attention to deadlines, and ability to interact with college faculty, staff, and other subjects. Students considered for this position will be asked to present a sampling of their photography portfolio as evidence of their skills.

Studio Assistants/Fine Arts Dept.

Duties: Multiple positions available (2 - 4) in Fine Arts Department. Assist in Graphics Lab (good computer skills necessary),  Fine Arts classes (drawing, painting, printmaking, etc.). Also, assistance needed as Office Assistant doing administrative tasks (poster designs, prepping for exhibitions, etc.).

TV Crew Camera Operator

Duties: The New Hampshire Institute of Politics TV Crew Camera Operator will be responsible for equipment setup, recording, equipment breakdown, and performing post-production tasks for New Hampshire Institute of Politics speaker events. TV Crew members work approximately 3 hours per event (not including post-production), and approximately 4-8 hours per week. Events are generally held at 6 or 7 p.m. Monday-Thursday (with some exceptions). Crew members are required to arrive one hour prior to event start for set-up, assisting with camera and audio equipment setup and breakdown, and filming for the duration of the event. Post-production & special tasks as assigned including: editing with Final Cut X and maintaining orderly workflow. This position is to be held for the entire academic year.

Qualifications: Experience filming & post-production, previous experience editing with Final Cut Pro, Experience Using YouTube and iTunes media, Media Organizing. Experience not required, but is preferred. We will provide necessary training.

Sociology


Sociology Department Office Assistant

Duties: Deliver and pick up mail, conduct library searches, clerical assistance, word processing, data analysis, materials preparation, including copying.

Qualifications: Word processing skills.

Sociology Research Assistant/Tutor

Duties: Assist faculty in research activities. Tutor in Sociology courses, especially methods and statistics. Tutor also on theory and introduction to Sociology.

Qualifications: Excellence in Sociology.
