Elizabeth Ossoff

Professor of Psychology, Director of New Hampshire Institute of Politics Research Center
A Fascination with Behavior and Politics
Elizabeth Ossoff mixes a passion for psychology with a fascination for politics and an interest in gender issues. She is quoted widely in the news media as an expert on voter behavior, but her career is really about the student experience. Among the topics she and her students have investigated is late night TV comedians' influence on the impressions young people develop of presidential candidates. (The influence is significant, as it turns out.) She also exposes young women to the possibilities of political, civic and business leadership through NEW Leadership New England, the annual summer institute she brought to campus for undergraduate women region wide.
