Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (Saint Anselm College, Academic Catalogue P. 29)
This act, with which the college intends to comply fully, was designated to protect the privacy of educational records, to establish the rights of students to inspect and review their educational records, and to provide guidelines for the correction of inaccurate or misleading data through informal and formal hearings.
Students have the right to file complaints with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) Office concerning alleged failures by the institution to comply with the act.
Questions concerning FERPA may be referred to the Office of the Registrar.
In keeping with the provisions of the above act, Saint Anselm College will consider all students as "dependents" unless specifically informed to the contrary in writing and within two weeks following registration.
