IT&D is thrilled to announce this year's SFI will feature internationally known speaker, author and true higher education visionary, Richard Katz. Richard Katz is the founder and chairman of Edudata, focused on the rapidly evolving e-learning space. Having served as Vice President of Educause for fourteen years, Richard founded the Educause Center for Applied Research (ECAR). Amongst its research arcs, ECAR investigates how technology can enhance teaching and learning in higher education. Richard currently serves as consultant to higher education institutions world-wide. Faculty can take part either in a General Track with sessions that are open to all or the Cohort Track, by application, which includes the General Track plus extra sessions on leveraging Sakai to increase student engagement.

We are extremely gratified to present a true higher education visionary. Richard Katz is an internationally known speaker and author, having delivered more than two hundred keynote addresses. He has written or edited seven books and more than seventy five articles, monographs and book chapters. His book, "Dancing with the Devil" was named one of the ten most influential higher education books of 1999. Richard will join us virtually from Colorado, where he will share his thoughts on technology-enhanced pedagogy in the liberal arts.

This past January, Saint Anselm launched two new technology-enhanced Active Learning Classrooms (ALC's) - Poisson B and Goulet 3101. Join a faculty panel, as they discuss their pedagogical approaches to teaching in the ALC's this past semester.

Come to a digital poster session, where your faculty colleagues will demonstrate their usage of innovative technology tools. Technologies will include iPad Annotation (Good Notes), Open Educational Resources (OERs), TurnItIn, Teaching with an iPad and VoiceThreads.
