The New Hampshire Institute of Politics & Political Library at Saint Anselm College mourns the loss of former first lady of New Hampshire, Catherine W. Gregg. Mrs. Gregg was the wife of former New Hampshire Governor Hugh Gregg and the mother of Judd Gregg, former New Hampshire Governor, Congressman, and United States Senator.

As Judd Gregg told the Union Leader, his mother was "an extraordinary person of exceptional energy who had a fascinating variety of interests, most of which revolved around making New Hampshire a better place to live and working with my father to do just that." She was a great advocate of preserving New Hampshire's First in the Nation Primary and served as a philanthropist, businesswoman, and active member of various local organizations.

Mrs. Gregg was an asset to New Hampshire and will be truly missed. The New Hampshire Institute of Politics and the Saint Anselm College community send their condolences to the Gregg family during this difficult time.
