Search Tips
The following search tips are effective in searching both the book and journal databases, unless otherwise specified.
- Use Boolean Operators (AND, OR): sound and waves
- Use truncation symbols (usually an asterisk): sound and wave*
- Limit your search words to SUBJECT, TITLE, or ABSTRACT
- Limit your search to 'Periodicals' (popular reading) and to 'Academic Journals' (scholarly reading).
- Add search word 'study' to your search and limit to ABSTRACT(see example)
- Do not wait until the day before to complete this assignment! It's going to take more time than you may think.
