Finalists Named in College Presidential Search

April 10, 2013

Saint Anselm College

After months of hard work, the Presidential Search Committee has announced the names of the finalists for the position of President of Saint Anselm College. They are Steven R. DiSalvo, Ph.D., President of Marian University in Wisconsin, and Msgr. Stuart W. Swetland, S.T.D., Vice President for Catholic Identity and Mission, of Mount St. Mary's University in Emmitsburg, Md.

The Search Committee selected these highly accomplished leaders from an excellent pool of candidates, which is a testament to the strong reputation and respect earned by Saint Anselm.

Abbot Mark Cooper, O.S.B., notes that this is the first time in its history that the College will choose a President who is not a member of the monastic community. He expressed confidence that these finalists are "able to profess, live, and explain the faith that is at the very heart of this institution and the education it provides."
