Saint Anselm is excited to welcome 546 first year students who are moving in Thursday, August 23 and beginning new student orientation.
Registration for residents, commuters, and transfer students began at 9 a.m. and continued until 11 a.m. Orientation leaders, resident assistants, and the football team were on hand to help first year students move into dorm rooms.
New student orientation will go until Sunday, August 26 when returning students move back to campus. This three day program helps new students get to know their classmates and learn more about campus life with orientation leaders as their guides.
First year students will spend their first few hours on campus getting settled into their dorm rooms, buying books in the bookstore or picking up a labtop in Poisson. Throughout the afternoon, parents and students may attend open houses and sessions on academic programs.
Family Mass is at 3 p.m. Abbot Mark Cooper, O.S.B. is celebrant. All new students and their families are then invited to the President's welcome on the quad followed by parents' goodbye.
