September 09, 2011
We are about to mark the 10th anniversary of the shocking and sorrowful events of Sept. 11, 2001, which affected us all as a nation, as individuals and as the community of Saint Anselm College. We lost two alumni that day, Richard Keane '69 and Stephen Roach '86, and since then many of our graduates have gone on to serve our country in Iraq and Afghanistan.
We would like to know what you are thinking and feeling as you contemplate 9/11 and succeeding years. What does this date mean to you? How have the events of 9/11 and succeeding years affected your life, your country? What have you learned since then?
The college has established a section on the blog where anyone from the Saint Anselm community can offer their thoughts and reflections. Also included is a listing of events organized by Campus Ministry to mark the anniversary, as well as the homilies Father Jonathan, O.S.B. delivered during Masses celebrated on Sept. 11, 2001 and 2002.
We hope you will take advantage of this opportunity to share your thoughts with our community. To do so, please visit to http://blogs.anselm.edu to make your comments. Submissions do not have to be long. Two or three paragraphs will do.
We hope you will take part in this conversation as our country marks this sorrowful anniversary.
