Dear Members of the Saint Anselm Community,
It is our pleasure to announce that Steven R. DiSalvo, Ph.D., has accepted an appointment by Abbot Mark Cooper, O.S.B., to succeed Father Jonathan DeFelice, O.S.B., as the next president of Saint Anselm College. He will start on July 1.
Dr. DiSalvo, president of Marian University in Wisconsin, brings a wealth of experience that we are certain will serve to advance the excellence of Saint Anselm as a Catholic, Benedictine, liberal arts college. As the 10th president of Saint Anselm College, Dr. DiSalvo will benefit from the strong legacy of success created during Father Jonathan's 24 years of leadership.
While we were blessed with a talented and qualified pool of applicants, the Board of Trustees voted overwhelmingly to approve Abbot Mark's selection of Dr. DiSalvo, whom we believe possesses the leadership qualities that Saint Anselm requires at this challenging and exciting time in higher education.
In the near future, Dr. DiSalvo will return to campus for a visit, during which time people will have a chance to greet him. We are certain that Saint Anselm will welcome him with the Benedictine hospitality that is our hallmark.
