The Saint Anselm College Multicultural Center will be named for retiring president Father Jonathan DeFelice, O.S.B., and supported by a permanent fund in his name.
During his tenure (1989-2013), Father Jonathan led the charge to create a multicultural center and bring diversity awareness and cultural exchange programming to the college.
Contribute to this fund to ensure that the Multicultural Center thrives as an enduring tribute to Father Jonathan's vision.
The Multicultural Center
Through programming, the Multicultural Center examines diversity and social justice issues and creates cross-cultural dialogue. Located on the first floor of Cushing Center, the Multicultural Center welcomes all Saint Anselm students.
The center strives to build community, support the academic mission of the institution, and offer opportunities to promote learning and leadership outside the formal academic curriculum. The plans to name the fund in tribute to Father Jonathan's service as president were announced by the Saint Anselm College board of trustees during a dinner held June 6 in his honor.
The college's goal is to raise $250,000 for the endowed fund and as of June 6, had raised $205,000.
