Inspired by the increasingly diverse Manchester community, The New Hampshire Institute of Politics at Saint Anselm College presented an evening of unique cultural programming on Saturday, April 19.
Manchester Goes Global featured an assortment of food, music, and hospitality. Planned in conjunction with the Refugee Center in Manchester, the evening also featured the West African fusion band Mamadou Diop, Sudanese dancers and singers, a fashion show and a Senegalese musical combo.
The Russian-Turkic refugee community was represented by a traditional wedding ceremony that was staged during the event.
The event was sponsored by the Center for the New Hampshire Politics and Civic Life along with the Center for International Affairs at the Institute of Politics at Saint Anselm College.
