New NHIOP ambassadors sitting in classroom

On February 22, 2024, the New Hampshire Institute of Politics (NHIOP) officially welcomed the 2024 cohort of Kevin B. Harrington Student Ambassadors. The Institute is thrilled to have 29 new students on board, representing a diverse range of majors and interests.

They spent the afternoon diving into the program, learning the ropes, and gearing up to make a difference on the Hilltop. During the orientation, the student ambassador committee chairs shared insights on topics including social media tips, networking and giving tours to special guests, providing valuable information for the group.

“I’m so excited to be part of this unique program. The NHIOP’s rich history and incredible opportunities brought me here, but it’s the people who’ve made me want to stay and make my mark,” shared psychology major Kathryn Langille ‘26.

The Kevin B. Harrington Student Ambassador program is a unique opportunity open to any Saint Anselm College student, of any major. Ambassadors assist Institute staff with public programing and civic engagement work. Throughout the year, there are a variety of opportunities for student involvement that include event promotion, working with the media, and meeting special guests behind the scenes. Currently, the NHIOP has 112 students actively engaged as student ambassadors.

If you’re interested in becoming a Kevin B. Harrington Student Ambassador in the future, please reach out to the Program Assistant, Garrett Donais (gdonais@anselm.edu), for details on the application process.
