History 100 (Hi B): Introduction to the Study of History:
American Revolution

Description of the Course: This course provides a hands-on introduction to history (what happened in the past) and History (what we know about the past). We will focus on the American Revolution and use documents, books, articles, paintings and movies as our sources. While we are studying what caused the revolution and how the war was fought, we will also be studying how to research the past. Students will read historical arguments and then construct their own, examine historical documents and learn to find them. "The Patriot" may have been a good movie, but is it good history? At the end of the class, you'll know.

Class Meeting Time: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays 9:30AM-1o:20AM

This course is taught by: Professor Beth Salerno
