Description
of the Course: Between the end of Reconstruction and the onset of the Great
Depression, the United States experienced dramatic transformation from an agrarian
nation into an ethnically diverse urban, industrial world power. This course
explores that dynamic growth, the political, economic, and social problems that
accompanied it, and the variety of ways that politicians and ordinary citizens
embraced that growth and sought to address the problems created by it.
Class Meeting Time: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, 10:30AM-11:20AM
This course is taught by: Professor Andrew Moore
