Description
of the Course: This course explores the history of Japan since approximately
1600, focusing on the rise and fall of the shogunate, the Meiji Restoration
and emperor-system, and the rapid changes Japan's political, economic, and cultural
systems have undergone during the 20th century.
This is an honors section. Students registered for or interested in the Asian Studies Minor may register with professor's permission.
