I have created this website so you can have access to information, suggestions, and help at any time during the day or night. By making this material more accessible, I hope to enhance your ability to learn. Divided into four sections, the site contains a navigation bar at the bottom of each page. This page supplies a quick overview of what each section contains.
At the bottom of this page is a link to a printable copy of the syllabus. This syllabus is identical to the one I handed out on the first day of class. I present it here in case you lose your copy or need to refer to it in an electronic version. There is also a link back to my home page, if you would like to explore some of the other courses I teach.
Presenting detailed explanations of all that I expect of you, this section contains information about the readings, movie viewings, and assignments for which you are responsible over the course of the semester.
This section presents a week-by-week breakdown of what topics we will be covering, the assigned readings for each class period (which you should complete before each class meets), and due dates for your assignments.
Don't overlook this section! It contains all of the food for thought reading assignments for the semester (which you are responsible for turning in at almost every class session), suggestions for success in this class, tips for success on essays and exams, guidelines for citing sources in your papers, and other useful information that will help you understand the course material.
This page provides all the information you need to contact me at any point throughout the semester. If you have any questions, concerns, or problems, please do not hesitate to get in touch with me by any of these means.
