BI107 Elementary Biochemistry
Designed primarily for students enrolled in the College?s Nursing Program, the course seeks to develop an understanding of and appreciation for the chemical basis of life. Fundamental principles of general, organic and biological chemistry are covered with a particular emphasis on clinical applications. Adequate preparation for this course includes a working knowledge of high school level algebra. Note: this course is not open to Biochemistry, Biology, Environmental Science or Natural Science Majors.

Three hours of lecture, one hour of recitation, and two hours of laboratory each week for one semester. Five credits.
