| BI315 Comparative Vertebrate Anatomy |
This course undertakes a study of the anatomy of vertebrates, with emphasis on
the comparative structure, function, and development of vertebrate body forms
and organ systems. Additional emphasis is placed on understanding the evolutionary
relationships among vertebrates in light of their anatomical structure. Extensive
laboratory work includes dissection of aquatic and terrestrial vertebrate forms. This course will be offered in alternating years.
Three hours of lecture and three hours of laboratory each week for one semester.
Four credits.
Prerequisite: BI103 -104 or equivalent as determined by Department Chair |
