The Education Department offers a state-approved teacher-education program leading to certification to teach in secondary schools (grades 7-12). Graduates of the program are served by the Interstate Certification Compact, a reciprocal certification agreement among member states.

Prospective teachers may major in any of the following: Chemistry, English, French, History, Latin, Mathematics, Natural Science, or Spanish. The department does not offer a major concentration.

Please note, the Education Program differs from Saint Anselm's other certificate programs. Following completion of the Eduction Program, students are recommended to the New Hampshire State Department of Education for licensure or certification in their content area (major). Students are not awarded a Certificate in Education.

For more information about teacher certification, please visit the Education Department  homepage.
