Stipend
URSP students will receive a salary ($3,500) to complete 30-40 hours of work per week with their mentors during the summer of their junior year. It is recommended that this work be completed over the course of eight weeks, however, extended time may be requested by the URSP team by contacting the project director. Funds for housing or meals are not provided by the URSP, however, the project director may be contacted to work with the URSP team to arrange housing.
Travel Allowances
Conference Funding
Limited funds are available for reimbursement of expenses associated with travel to a conference to present research findings ($1000 per team). Contact the URSP project director to request travel funds with an itemized list of anticipated expenses. Upon return from the conference, a travel report is required by the project director including receipts for all expenses.
Site Visit (faculty)
The URSP provides a modest stipend ($750) for a faculty mentor to visit the student while he or she is working at the research institute. Contact the project director to request travel funds. Upon return from the visit, the faculty mentor will need to submit an itemized travel report including receipts for reimbursed expenses.
