MAJORS / COURSES Spring/Fall Courses FACULTY PREPROFESSIONAL PROGRAMS INSTRUMENTATION CLAIRE BOOTHE LUCE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM MAJORS / COURSES CH370 Synthesis and Characterization The lecture and laboratory work consider the synthesis and characterization of organic and inorganic compounds by procedures that are more sophisticated than those used in elementary courses. A variety of instrumental techniques are included. At the end of the term, students are required to design and carry out an independent synthesis project. Two hours of lecture and five hours of laboratory each week. Four credits. Prerequisite: Chemistry 251. Chemistry 340 is recommended. Departments Offering this Course: Chemistry
