Why German?
Do you want to start fresh with a language in college? Do you want to learn a language with world-wide importance? German is the choice for you. Click on the links to the right for more information.

The German-speaking countries of central Europe (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland) play a key role in Europe and in the world. In the countries of the European Union, more people, some 85 million, are native speakers of German than of any other language. German is very significant in the context of current world events. It is no accident that the central bank of the European Union is located in Frankfurt or that the conference on shaping a future for Afganistan was held in Königswinter near Bonn.
