Spring 2009 Epsilon Tau Meeting

Chapter Research Grants
Epsilon Tau invites nurse researchers to apply for a 2009 Sigma Theta Tau Chapter Research Grant.

The purpose of this grant is to encourage research by qualified nurses and/or nursing students who are learning to conduct research to advance knowledge in the area of nursing science.

Yet To Be Announced for 2009

Criteria for Awarding Grants 

  1. Applicant Criteria:1
    • Hold formal preparation in the conduct of nursing research,  
    • and have a baccalaureate or higher degree in nursing,
    •  or nursing students enrolled in a higher degree program in nursing with direct supervision of a qualified teacher meeting applicant criteria. (Applicant submits supervisor's CV).

  2. Application:1
    • Submit application and a written research proposal according to the guidelines. (Data collection may be in progress.)
    • Submit a signed formal agreement for money usage and public report findings.

  3. Competitive Basis for Fund Allocation:
    • Quality of written proposal.
    • Contribution of the research proposed to nursing science and public benefit, or research that aids the scientific education of nursing students.
    • Research fund budget and number of proposals submitted.

Applicants must be Epsilon Tau members, or have applied for membership in the chapter. For application materials, write to Research Grant Committee, Epsilon Tau Chapter, Saint Anselm College, 100 Saint Anselm Drive, Manchester, NH 03102-1310.

Grants will be awarded at the Spring meeting.

The Epsilon Tau chapter has created an incredible opportunity.

We will send two of this years’ Senior students expenses paid to attend the 40th Sigma Theta Tau Biennial Convention.
