Professional Experience:
Since graduation from college, my area of interest and clinical practice has been critical care nursing. I teach students in the ICU, ED, and Intermediate Cardiac Care Units of a community hospital two days a week.
Scholarly Interests:
There are several subjects that I am currently researching. I am interested in how decisions to withhold or provide resuscitation are made in American hospitals. I am preparing an article concerning the gap between ethical decision making and ethical action in health care and a review of the ethics of managed health care.
I am especially interested in and have published portions of a text on the care of cardiac patients.
Finally, I have been researching the emotional responses of bone marrow donors and recipients.
