The purpose of this workshop is to equip nurses with the essential skills to lead or participate in evidence based practice initiatives in clinical settings.

Objectives:

  • Discuss the importance of the evidence based practice paradigm as the basis of nursing practice
  • Develop evidence based practice skills in order to frame a clinical question, search for relevant evidence, critically appraise evidence, and design a practice change
  • Identify strategies for implementation and evaluating evidence- based practice initiatives in clinical settings
