Anemia can be very challenging for the nurse practitioner. Learn how to decipher laboratory hieroglyphics to determine the type and potential causes of the various forms of anemia. In addition to anemia, we will spend time discussing thyroid and liver enzyme abnormalities as well as white blood cell count abnormalities.

The purpose of this workshop is to educate nurses regarding commonly encountered anemias; the causes, evaluation and treatments as well as common thyroid and liver enzyme abnormalities.  In addition, we will discuss various abnormalities in the white cell count.
