1. What grade point average do I need to retain my scholarship?
   According to the letter you received with your acceptance to the college, your scholarship award will be renewable annually provided that you maintain a 2.5 grade point average at Saint Anselm. If your GPA places you near or below this cut off, you will receive a formal letter from he Office of Academic Advisement requesting that you schedule an appointment to speak with the director.
   
   
2. Who should I contact if I am experiencing academic difficulty?
   You should speak with your academic advisor and with your professors if you are experiencing academic difficulties. If you have questions about your Presidential Scholarship, please contact Mark Cronin.
   
   Please note that the director of academic advisement will attempt to contact those students at the beginning of the spring semester whose GPA places them in danger of losing their scholarships.
   
   
3. If I lose my scholarship can I appeal the decision or apply for reinstatement?
   Yes to both questions. If you have lost your Presidential Scholarship you can appeal the decision to the president of the college. You should write a formal letter of appeal and then make an appointment to talk to the president. A copy of this letter should also go to the director of academic advisement.
   
   You may apply for the reinstatement of your Presidential Scholarship at the conclusion of the following school year. You should write a letter to the director of academic advisement and to the president asking that your scholarship be reinstated.
   
   
4. What happens to my Presidential Scholarship if I move off campus?
   Part of your scholarship award is applied to the cost of room and board. If you move off campus, you will lose this portion of the award.
   
   
5. What happens to my Presidential Scholarship if I study abroad?
   A Presidential Scholarship cannot be applied to the cost of a study-abroad program. If you participate in a study-abroad program, you will forfeit your scholarship for the semester that you are abroad.
