Resident Meal Plan participants: $2,040.00

At the beginning of each semester a student starts off with an opening balance which is determined each year by the Room and Board rate. Using 2007-2008 board rate of $2,040.00 at the beginning of each semester, an administration fee is first deducted after which the opening balance of $1,880.00 is credited to the resident’s account.  The restricted portion of $1,500.00 must be used at the main dining room, Davison Hall, and the remaining unrestricted portion of $380.00 may be used at Davison Hall, the NHIOP café and in the evenings at the Coffee Shop.

The Rebate Formulation for Resident Meal Plan participants is as follows:

$ -480.00         (less 60% fixed operation costs)

*This plan is mandatory to students living on campus in a dormitory room and therefore, a part of the room and board cost.

* Unrestricted funds can be used at the Coffee Shop after 7:00pm

*Meal plan funds can not be used to purchase alcohol at the pub.

*Unrestricted funds are a percentage of your total Davison amount so they will be accessed for payments at Davison Hall once Davison only funds have depleted.

*Should you deplete all your funds on this plan, you may add more money to your Davison Hall account and receive a double dollar bonus.

*Additional dollars can be added to your Coffee Shop account, but without the double dollar bonus.

Optional Meal Plan participants: No minimum—add as little or as much as you want.    $600.00 is suggested at the start of each semester

The Optional Meal plan is available for students living in on campus apartments or students living in off campus housing. You are eligible to set up an optional meal plan by simply adding money to your card.

*This plan can be used at all dining service facilities at anytime of the day or evening.

*No minimum opening balance is required.

*The entire account balance is available for use at the Davison Hall, the Coffee Shop and the Common Ground Cafe at any time.

*Meal plan funds can not be used to purchase alcohol at the pub

*Additional dollars can be added at any time, but without the double dollar bonus.
