Administrative Assistant II - Human Resources
Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, you will provide support on a variety of human resources services, including employment, compensation, benefits, training, and human resources information systems (HRIS). Duties include answering phones and welcoming visitors, scheduling meetings, preparing meeting materials, and preparing job postings and advertisements. You will also prepare offer letters and administrative agreements, and coordinate mailings to employees and/or students. Other duties include tracking budgets, ordering supplies, creating forms, compiling and/or running system reports, back up for data entry, maintaining the human resources website, tracking evaluations and other data, and a variety of other projects associated with the human resources functions.
Required Qualifications:
Associates degree plus 3-5 years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience required. Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, as well as proficiency maintaining database systems and generating excel and database reports. Excellent multi-tasking, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills as well as strong attention to detail required. Good proofreading, spelling/grammar and general writing and math skills also required. Must be able to handle sensitive information, maintaining a high degree of confidentiality; self-starter with demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment. Must enjoy working in a fast paced office, with ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with a diverse group of faculty, staff and students.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with HRIS systems, Cognos and Web Content Management is strongly preferred along with experience working in human resources. Familiarity with state and federal employment regulations is helpful but not necessary.
Assistant Director, Annual Giving
Under the supervision of the Director of Annual Giving, the Assistant Director of Annual Giving coordinates and carries out the cultivation and solicitation of unrestricted annual fund donors,particularly guiding the reunion fundraising efforts through the development of a Class Agentsystem. Additionally, the Assistant Director recruits and works with volunteers, including class agents, reunion gift chairs and gift committee members, and with staff including the Alumni Office. A primary focus of the position is to manage phonathons including recruiting, training, and scheduling student callers; arranging facilities; and preparing and organizing all necessary materials.
A creatively entrepreneurial approach will be needed to effectively solicit and support reunion classes to ensure all members are solicited at appropriate levels. In order to increase participation and dollars to The Saint Anselm Fund, the assistant director must thrive on soliciting alumni, parents and friends, thereby building relationships involving high levels of contact inside and outside of the College.
Bachelor’s degree required along with sufficient experience in higher education fundraising or comparable work to quickly assume the role of an annual giving gift officer. Excellent writing, communication and customer relations skills required; ability to ask for contributions is essential as well as the ability to accurately record prospect tracking records and reports. Raiser’s Edge experience preferred. Must be able to deal effectively with and represent the college to a wide range of individuals/groups within and outside of the college. Ability to travel and work nights and weekends as required. The successful candidate will be an energetic and effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
Assistant Director, Service Education
The Assistant Director, Service Education will assist the Director, Service Education in the management and oversight of Saint Anselm College’s service learning program. This includes training and preparing participating faculty, students and community partners for service learning opportunities along with associated protocols. This person will also help to plan, facilitate and ensure effective service-learning reflections.
Responsibilities include training and support of Meelia Center student staff and supervision of student coordinators working with various service learning community partners. Will work with community partners to ensure effective utilization of service learners; assist in evaluating the service learning experience and increasing awareness of the service learning program. This person is also responsible to assist students in developing a service learning plan to enhance their academic, personal and career goals.
Master’s degree required, Ph.D. strongly preferred. Also requires two years experience administering service learning programs at the post-secondary level, including experience providing student leadership development and support. Must be experienced with developing and maintaining partnerships with local community agencies and non-profit organizations. Knowledge of service learning principles and assessment of student learning outcomes required. Strong writing, organizational, planning, administrative and public speaking skills needed, as well as the ability to interact effectively with a wide range of college administrators, faculty, staff and students. Full-time Programmer/Analyst for Department of Information Technology. This position will perform a wide range of computer programming and systems analysis, and design functions. Will research and analyze data processing needs and resources related to the function for which computer system is to be developed, modified, or upgraded. Maintain a good working knowledge of the overall purpose of a particular function and its daily operations. Responsibilities will also include recommending appropriate technical solutions to data processing needs; will demonstrate expertise with software used, design and document computer systems and data processing procedures, test new systems, and produce reports.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other appropriate discipline, plus 2 –4 years of relevant data processing, programming, and systems analysis/design experience, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired. A broad base of technical knowledge and skills in data processing, programming, systems analysis and design and computer operations and an ability to write advanced structured query language statements for data manipulation and extraction are required. Director, Annual Giving
We are seeking an organized, creative and enthusiastic supporter of undergraduate liberal arts education in the Catholic, Benedictine tradition to oversee The Saint Anselm Fund in a collaborative fundraising/alumni relations environment. The Saint Anselm Fund raises almost $2.5 million annually including five and six figure gifts from identified prospects. Strategic oversight, planning and management of The Saint Anselm Fund includes reunion giving; senior class giving; phonathons; young alumni participation; volunteer recruitment, training and management within a class agent system; staff management; and support and solicitation of high-end donors and volunteers to ensure a strong effort of leadership giving within the fund.
The director works closely and collaboratively with all gift officers, the Assistant Vice President for Alumni Relations and the Director of Development Operations – the latter responsible for creating and implementing a direct mail program in support of The Saint Anselm Fund. Reporting to the Associate Vice President for College Advancement, the director serves as a member of the advancement management team. The director must thrive on soliciting alumni, parents and friends for gifts while away from the office.

Director, College Health Services
This is a full-time 12-month position, reporting to the Vice President for Student Affairs. The director is responsible for managing the College Health Services Center, including the planning and administration of a wide range of health care and education services and programs, such as clinical protocols and other operating policies, procedures and methods, counseling services, prevention-oriented outreach programs, and crisis response in accordance with the mission of the College and institutional objectives. Promoting the department’s commitment to delivering services that integrate a celebration of the diversity of human experiences, the director will supervise 10-12 employees in the delivery of college health services. The director will also participate in medical clinical care as needed and appropriate.
Responsibilities also include contracting/consultation with Psychologists, counselors, state health officials and others as needed to assure that appropriate health services, educational programs and crisis response mechanisms are offered to students. Conducts case management and monitors the on-site laboratory, clinical records, etc. Develops and participates in educational programs in holistic health for the campus community and provides training to residence life staff on medical procedures, alcohol and other drug issues, health promotion and prevention of illness, etc. Also works with the athletic director and athletic trainers to coordinate care and health education for athletes. Assures compliance with state and federal guidelines for educational health care facilities and quality assurance; e.g., licensure, HIPAA, FERPA, CLIA certification, etc. The director will also prepare budgets and management reports and will serve on various college and student affairs committees.
Requirements
Master’s degree in healthcare or related field, with eligibility for state licensure/certification (Nurse Practitioner certification or doctorate preferred); three to five years of administrative experience in ambulatory care/emergency department, clinical settings, and administration of an educational health service, preferably in higher education; familiarity with and understanding of traditional Catholic ethical positions. The successful candidate will possess a broad base of relevant clinical knowledge and skills, with training/experience in health care problems of adolescents and young adults, ambulatory care and emergency medical services, counseling and/or psychology background, health education, have excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills; possess knowledge and sensitivity of student developmental needs, and of opportunities and needs related to students of diverse backgrounds, experiences and cultures; be experienced with Microsoft office and management of departmental budgets.
