Custodian/Housekeeper - Part-Time
Part-time position available immediately for the daytime shift. Duties involve general cleaning of an assigned campus building. Applicants should have the ability to lift heavy equipment such as a vacuum cleaner or floor buffer (l5-30 lbs.). Must also have the ability to understand and follow written instructions, chemical labels and warnings.
High school education desirable. General knowledge and skills related to routine housekeeping & maintenance work, with commercial/institutional cleaning experience desirable. Related experience in similar workplace setting a plus.
Director of Athletics
Saint Anselm College is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Director of Athletics. The College is a member of the NCAA Division II and the Northeast-10 Conference. The Director of Athletics reports to the Vice President for Student Affairs.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overall supervision of the college’s athletic programs and facilities, including recreational, intramural and intercollegiate programs. The athletic program at Saint Anselm College is characterized by the integrated balance between sport and the life of the mind and reflects a spirit of integrity, respect and academic achievement.
The duties of the Director of Athletics include overall supervision and direction of all athletic personnel in accord with the mission and policies of the college, oversight of all matters concerning compliance with federal, NCAA and conference regulations and scheduling of all intercollegiate contests. Additionally the Director of Athletics is responsible for administration of all athletic facilities, game administration and for promoting a positive image of Saint Anselm College in all aspects of the college’s athletic program.
Required Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in a relevant management field, plus a minimum of five years of significant athletic administrative experience at the collegiate level, including regulatory and compliance matters and the complete array of fiscal, and operational complexities of an intercollegiate athletics program
• Commitment to and ability to enforce NCAA and conference rules
• Strong leadership and management qualities and abilities
• Business acumen, including experience in planning, organizing and developing programs, as well as budget/financial and facilities management experience
• Strong public relations skills, communication and interpersonal skills and the demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with members of all constituencies of the college
• Experience supervising coaches and support staff
• Knowledge and sensitivity of student developmental needs, and of opportunities and needs related to students from diverse backgrounds, experiences and cultures
• A demonstrated commitment to academic excellence and development of personal integrity among student athletes
• Genuine concern for the fitness and recreational needs of all members of the college community

Executive Director-New Hampshire Institute of Politics at Saint Anselm College
NHIOP seeks an Executive Director to lead and manage the Institute, further enhance it as an integral part of Saint Anselm College’s identity, and ensure its future growth and long-term sustainability into the future. Responsibilities include: work collaboratively with the NHIOP Public Advisory Board, Saint Anselm students and faculty to advance the mission and goals of the Institute. With the NHIOP Academic Advisory Board, Director of Research at the Institute, and faculty coordinators of the Institute’s four research centers, work collaboratively to promote research and discourse about politically relevant issues and topics, nationally and internationally. Facilitate the goals of the Institute with key constituents in the College, inclusive of Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Communications and Marketing. Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing funders and work collaboratively with College Advancement to obtain new sources of financial support to ensure long term sustainability. Provide leadership for and manage NHIOP’s programs and finances, including hiring, managing, and evaluating staff and developing and managing the Institute’s budget. Assure that all operations function smoothly, effectively, and efficiently. Represent NHIOP in public settings, with the Institute’s varied constituencies, and with the media.
Qualified candidates will possess a sophisticated understanding of and compelling interest in the ways in which political candidates, organizations, and processes shape public policy in American government. Minimum 10 years of experience that includes successful senior-level management of personnel, projects, and budgets. Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multiple stakeholder setting and to manage multiple priorities and projects effectively. Experience working in an academic environment is highly preferred. Demonstrated leadership, external relations, and fundraising ability; outstanding communications skills; demonstrated skill in driving initiatives from concept through implementation and ongoing development. Advanced degree is preferred, as is an understanding of New Hampshire’s role in U. S. presidential elections. The successful candidate will be knowledgeable about academic research and teaching and appreciate its potential to enliven and strengthen the country’s political life. He or she will share Saint Anselm’s commitment to civic education, understand how that commitment grows from this Benedictine institution’s dedication to Catholic social justice teachings, and have the energy, creativity, initiative, and skill to lead and manage the Institute into the future. Instructor/System Administrator
This is a 10-month position to start in August 2009. Responsibilities include both teaching and administration duties. The Instructor/System Administrator will have up to three teaching assignments per semester. Teaching duties may include computer laboratory instruction, course preparation and/or instruction, to be determined by the department chair, as well as holding office hours for students. Other duties include the administration of a small LAN in support of the computer science program; installation and/or removal of software, maintenance of a computer lab inventory, monitoring of software licensure, set up and maintenance of student user accounts and monitoring access; troubleshooting computer lab issues, and responding to faculty and student requests for computer lab use and/or special software as appropriate. He or she will work with faculty, staff, students, and others as necessary to maintain the computer science department equipment and software; will also work closely with the Office of Information Technology (OIT) to coordinate equipment maintenance, warrantees and vendor agreements; ensure system backups, mitigate system outages. Other duties include researching and recommending purchases for computers and computer-related hardware and software pertaining to pedagogical needs of the department. The Instructor/System Administrator also supervises student workers in the maintenance and administration of the computer lab.
Master’s degree in Computer Science or related area required as well as 2-3 years lab administration experience installing software, maintaining LAN, etc. Demonstrated working knowledge of C++/Java, computer architecture, computer networks, Windows XP, Windows server, Windows Vista, Visual Studio and Linux/Unix OS also required. Strongly prefer experience instructing in computer lab/classroom. Must possess good judgment and excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will report to the Chair of the Computer Science Department and will also be able to assist the College to further its strategic goals for institution-wide diversity.
