Annually, the Office of the Registrar publishes a student directory and designates the following categories of student information as public or "directory information." Such information may be disclosed by the College, at its discretion, for any purpose. Category I Name, address, telephone number(s), dates of attendance, and class membership Category II Previous institutions attended, major field of study, awards, honors (including Dean's List), degree(s) conferred (including dates) Category III Past and present participation in officially recognized sports and activities, physical factors (e.g., height, weight of athletes), and date and place of birth. Currently enrolled students may withhold disclosure of any category of information under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974, as amended. To withhold disclosure, written notification must be received in the Office of the Registrar, Saint Anselm College, on or before September 15. Forms requesting the withholding of directory information are available in the Office of the Registrar. Saint Anselm College assumes that the failure on the part of any student to request the withholding categories of directory information as listed above, indicates individual approval for disclosure. |
