Role of the Area Coordinator
As a full time, live-in staff position, the Area Coordinator or “AC” operates and manages a major area of the residence halls, which includes office administration, building management, community development and counseling/referrals.
AC Responsibilities
The Area Coordinator is responsible for the training and supervision of Resident Directors in addition to a range of supervisory, advising and administrative functions for a cluster of residence halls. Concerned with the growth and welfare of each individual and the community as a whole, the AC will assist students in adjusting to group living and campus life; and the provision of emotional support and resources as necessary.

Katharine is originally from the Hudson River Valley region of New York State. As a Graduate Assistant for Residence Life at McDaniel College (located in Westminster, MD) Katharine discovered that she preferred residence halls to classrooms and found the passion and idealism of college student infectious. She has been working as an Area Coordinator at Saint Anselm College for two years, concentrating her efforts on the Residential First Year Experience, Resident Assistant Education and a variety of programs supported by the Office of Student Activities and Leadership Programming.
Kathaine is known for having readily available facts on minutia. In her free time, she enjoys seeking out new music on iTunes, programming her Tivo, spending time with friends and plotting her next adventure.

Originally from Connecticut, Patricia received her undergraduate degree from Eastern Connecticut State University where she was an RA and focused on social justice programming. Patty has spent time living in Washington DC where she met her husband, worked at The White House during the Clinton Administration and was a Community Director at The George Washington University. In between those ventures she also received her MBA while working as a Resident Director at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut. Patty is thrilled to be back in New England and working with the upper class students as an Area Coordinator at Saint Anselm College.
