The Role of a Resident Director

As a full time, live-in member of Residential Life and Education, the Resident Director or “RD” acts as liaison between other professional staff and the student body, including Resident Assistants.

RD Responsibilities
The RD is responsible for the organization and leadership of the student development programs and management of administrative operations of an undergraduate residential community.  Much like the responsibilities of the AC, RDs are also concerned with the growth and welfare of each individual and the community.  RDs assist students in making adjustments to group living and campus life with the ultimate goal of cultivating students who are academically successful, mature and involved in their local communities.
