Students that wish to continue their on-campus living experience must participate in the Residential Life and Education Housing Lottery Process.

The first step in this process is to make a room reservation deposit of $300 by the deadline posted in that year's Housing Lottery Information Packet.  All students that deposit on time are given a computerized random number associated with their year of graduation. Students interested in living together are required to add their computerized random numbers and average them.  That averaged number serves as a group lottery number and that number is the one used to designate the selection order for choosing a room.

For example:  Four students interested in a quad could have numbers, 987, 1209, 1122 and 1050.  The average is 1092.  They would attend the Room Selection night for quads and wait for number 1092 to be called.  They would then select their quad on campus.  Simple as that!  This works the same for apartments, quads, triples and doubles.  Obviously, students interested in singles are not required to average their number.

Further information, such as last year's Housing Lottery Information Packet, can be found for your convenience in the forms section of the Residential Life and Education page.
