Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act
Colleges nationwide have experienced increasing problems with crimes and violent incidents. To help alert students, their parents, employees, and visitors to the fact that college campuses cannot be presumed to be free of the threat of violence, and to establish a nationwide system of reporting campus crime, Congress enacted the Crime Awareness and Campus Security Act of 1990. Amendments to the Act in 1998 renamed it in memory of Jeanne Clery. Among other things, the act calls for each college and university to publish annually, in October, a report to its students, faculty, and staff of the incidence of certain crimes that have been reported to campus security officials as having occurred on the campus during the preceding calendar year. This brochure includes the listing prescribed by the Campus Security Act.

Efforts to keep Saint Anselm a safe and non-threatening environment cannot be left solely to Campus Security and other College officials. Safety is a responsibility shared by all of us. We pledge that we will do everything possible to preserve a safe and enjoyable environment at Saint Anselm. We are happy to answer any questions you may have about campus security or about any of the information contained in this brochure.

The members of the Office of Safety and Security wish you a productive, enjoyable, and safe academic year.
