The meeting began at about 8:10 p.m.

First Meeting of 2007-08 Saint Anselm College Faculty Senate

I. Seating of new Senate
Senator Wierda called the meeting to order, welcomed the new senators and opened the floor for nominations of a Senate president. 

 II. Election of Senate President
Senator McKenna nominated Senator Weinreb. Senator O’Reilly seconded the motion. 

Senator George made a motion to close nominations. Senator Holder seconded the motion. 

The Senate voted 13-0 to elect Senator Weinreb president, one abstaining.

III. Election of Senate Secretary
President Weinreb called for nominations for the Senate Secretary:

Senator Perrone nominated Senator George. Senator Dubrulle seconded the motion. 

Senator Holder made a motion to close nominations. Senator Wierda seconded. 

Senator George was elected by acclamation. 

President Weinreb announced that the next meeting of the Senate will be held at 3:10 p.m. May 9.

IV. Adjournment
Senator Holder made a motion to adjourn. Senator Smith seconded the motion, which was approved unanimously.
