leadership theory -
self knowledge (finding your leadership style) -
group dynamics/team building/group communication -
ethical decision making -
time management, goal setting, building consensus -
respect for others -
available campus resources Professionals and student volunteers lead workshops, which are scheduled over a three-week period, with one session per week. Benefits As a participant in ELP, you will learn more about yourself and your preferred leadership style (everyone has one) and how to apply your new leadership skills in everyday activities. ELP graduates use such experiences to strengthen their résumés, increase campus involvement, and lead more effectively on and off campus. To participate in the program, a student must be nominated by a member of the Saint Anselm faculty or staff or another student leader. Nomination forms are available in the Office of Student Activities and Leadership Programs. Emerging Leaders Program representatives will contact nominated students and invite them to apply. If you have any questions regarding the Emerging Leaders Program, contact the Office of Student Activities and Leadership at 641-7363. |
