Rule of Saint Benedict 45:46

Monks at Baseball GameSince 1889 the Benedictine monks of Saint Anselm have been involved in the work of education. Today, the monks work in various capacities in the College in collaboration with lay personnel. Monks hold significant positions in the administration of the College, several monks work in campus ministry, and others teach in the humanities and social sciences. Monks indeed contribute in a diverse range of ways to the whole fabric of life on campus, sometimes through involvement in the arts, athletics, or other facets of student life.

Monks TeachingBe it in formal support of the ongoing mission of the College, or in contributing an added dimension of fraternity to the wider Saint Anselm community, the monastic presence is an integral part of the larger College community.
