1980
John Shepherd
John writes that all is well at 49 in San Francisco. John, Susan, Lindsay (23- NYC) and Jack (19- University of AZ) moved to SF in 2000. They were back on on the hill at Sugarloaf this winter with O'Brien '79, Tucker '79 and Sweeney '80 for a Super Bowl Ski weekend in February. Usually we draw Hill '80, Meir '80 Irwin '79 and Korslund '81. John is still in investment management business and hopes to be forever. Susan went back to teaching school when Jack (the youngest) started high school. She enjoys helping young parents (30-45) learn that their five year old son is going to be fine. The commute is fun—one block from our home and staying connected to the city and its young families is rewarding. Lindsay studied at Lake Forest High (Chicago), St. Paul’s (Concord), UM (Ann Arbor) to employment in NYC (Christie’s). She loves life in NYC at 23—as Susan and I did. Jack went to high school in SF and is studying finance and playing ultimate Frisbee at U of A. He attends classes in December in shorts; quite different than we did on the winter hilltops of Manchester. Hope you are well. Go Hawkes Go!!!!
