Manchester, N.H. (June 26, 2007) – Kathryn Gaudreau has been named as the Saint Anselm field hockey head coach, announced Ed Cannon, director of athletics.
“We are pleased to bring someone on board with Kate’s experience and passion for the sport of field hockey,” said Cannon. “That experience, coupled with her knowledge of Saint Anselm College, makes her a great fit for the program.”
Gaudreau comes to Saint Anselm from St. Bernard’s High School in Fitchburg, Mass., where she has served as the varsity field hockey head coach since 2003. In addition to her highly successful field hockey teams, she has also coached freshman basketball at St. Bernard’s since 2004.
In addition to her coaching success, Gaudreau also enjoyed tremendous success on the playing field. The all-time leading scorer in Saint Anselm history, she is a former team captain for the Hawks and was a Northeast-10 All-Conference First Team selection in 2001 and the recipient of the team’s Coach’s Award.
A 2003 graduate of Saint Anselm with a bachelor of arts degree in history, Gaudreau went on to earn her master’s of arts degree in American history from Providence College in 2005.
