Manchester, N.H. (August 15) -- Senior defensive end Casey Larson (Pascoag, R.I.) was named to the D2Football.com Preseason All-America Second Team for the second straight season. Larson, the 2006 Northeast-10 Defensive Lineman of the Year, was ranked among the Northeast-10 and national leaders in nearly every category last season.

Larson returns for his senior season looking to add to his numerous Saint Anselm records for career sacks and tackles for loss. Last season he led the Northeast-10 in sacks and forced fumbles and was third in tackles for loss. His average of 0.40 forced fumbles per game ranked him sixth nationally.

In addition to his NE-10 Defensive Lineman of the Year Award in 2006, Larson was honored as a D2Football.com Second Team All-American, a Northeast-10 All-Conference First Team selection, a New England Football Writers Association Division II/III All-Star, a Daktronics Second Team All-Region performer and an ECAC Division II First Team All-Star.
