Worcester, Mass. (September 4) – The volleyball team fell to Assumption in their Northeast-10 opener in five games, 3-2 (18-30, 30-26, 24-30, 30-17, 15-8).  The loss drops the Hawks to 1-4 overall, 0-1 NE-10 and improves the Assumption Greyhounds to 3-1 overall, 1-0 NE-10. 

Alana McNeil (Lawrence, Mass.) led the Hawks in kills with 13 while also adding a team high four blocks.  Sam Regan (Danville, N.H.) recorded a team high 34 digs, while Kelly O’Dea (Andover, Mass.) led the team in assists with 31.  Heather Sherlock (No. Andover, Mass.) also pitched in a solid performance, recording seven kills, 19 digs, and 2.5 blocks (2 solo, 1 assist). 

The Hawks return to the court on Saturday, September 8, when they travel to Franklin Pierce (1-6, 0-0 NE-10) for their second conference match-up, starting at 1:00 p.m.
